Recent Reads (5)

I actually read quite a few good books in May. I won't be posting them all here, but don't forget, you can always find me on Goodreads.

Some Fine Day by Kat Ross- I actually read an ARC of this. It won't be out until July 1st. Hypercanes! Basically, super huge storms that have forced people to live underground. Except, there are, of course, people living on the surface. As Jansin is about to find out. Lots of fun to read.

One Man Guy by Michael Barakiva- Such a sweet book about family and first love and friendship. And the romance is super adorable. A must read.

Tease by Amanda Maciel- A tough book to read. This is one of those instances where you really can't stand the MC, but at the same time, you find yourself feeling bad for her. At points. Until you remember she's a horrible bully. You will feel a lot of conflicting emotions, but it was interesting to read about this side of things.

Saugatuck Summer by Amelia C. Gormley- There is so much angst in this book, but there is also a very sweet relationship that blossoms. Really excellent read.

Something Real by Heather Demetrios- This is the second book I've read about a child who had to suffer through being on reality television. This time, however, the MC is BACK on reality television, even after her mother promised it wouldn't happen again. Stories like this are so frustrating because you really can't stand the parents. This is a form of child abuse, for sure. And on top of that, her mother refuses to listen to her concerns. Another excellent read.
